The Children’s Specialist Occupational Therapy Service provides specialist care and support for children experiencing difficulties carrying out everyday tasks. We aim to help them gain maximum independence in all areas of their daily activities. This can include play, leisure and school activities. The service promotes equality and social inclusion.
We offer assessment and treatment for physical conditions, upper limb splinting and specialist seating. We also provide an advice service for children with sensory processing difficulties.
Our team consists of occupational therapists and therapy assistants. We work in partnership with the child, their family and carers, and teachers.
The team also works closely with Bexley Special Schools.
